Customer requirement

Originally, Global Marketing Operations at eBay asked us to implement only a smaller Atlassian Jira plugin. The client chose us among other things because we can offer highly professional expertise of the Atlassian platform and a number of possibilities of its development extension. The project was initially planned for approximately half a year, with the subsequent management to be dealt with by the customer himself. In the end, the customer entrusted us with the complete development of a new tool, project management and subsequent support.

Solution

The RIO application enables eBay distributed marketing teams around the world to collaborate in design, planning and production of marketing campaigns. It replaces email communication, Excel spreadsheets and other tools. The system supports the complete process from submitting marketing campaign requests, scheduling them over time and producing creative assets through to implementing briefs for online communications channel teams. RIO has fundamentally streamlined the entire process of communication between the eBay marketing teams.

We delivered the first version of the application after six months of development and the customer liked our work so much that he wanted to continue with the project. We have been working on the development of the tool for six years now and deliver new functionality every month. In 2017, we delivered a new version of React-based application that replaced poor performing capacity planning. We have been running the application for the customer from the beginning and we have also been taking care of the user support. The project has been delivered from the beginning using the agile Scrum development methodology.
